The holiday stroll along Charles Street in Boston’s historic Beacon Hill tonight was reminiscent of a simpler time. The street was closed to cars, leaving our legs and a few horse-drawn carriages to do the transporting. I took this photo because everything about the scene screamed “1800s” to me. However, when I uploaded the photo to my computer I realized that the reflectors on the carriages just didn’t fit in. Oh well. I tried. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful night to be a Bostonian.
